About The Position

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Family Medicine practice at the Care Center in Big Rapids, Michigan. The role is part of the clinical support team and works closely with other healthcare professionals to help deliver patient care. Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, with primary care and specialty practices offering opportunities to learn, explore interests, or specialize. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants and current CHW MA Apprentice Students.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills, or at least one year of experience working specifically as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• One of the following certifications is required within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
