Medical Assistant- Urgent Care
About The Position
A ProMedica Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient-centric care delivery model in an office setting. The role communicates with patients and co-workers, collaborates with leadership to recommend changes that improve patient care, and helps provide a safe patient experience. Duties include gathering patient data, documenting reasons for visits, obtaining vital signs, answering patient phone calls, and relaying messages for providers or nurses. The position requires communication with patients, peers, and other members of the health care team. This summary describes the general nature and level of work and is not exhaustive.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Hold a current BLS (CPR) course card from the American Heart Association at the time of employment, or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a medical office.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
