About The Position

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Urgent Care practice at the Care Center in Cutlerville, Michigan. The position is part of the clinical support team and works closely with other healthcare professionals to help deliver patient care. The urgent care practice is fast-paced and serves a diverse group of patients with a wide variety of needs.

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, including more than 40 types of primary care and specialty practices. The listed schedule is 36.75 hours per week, with variable workdays, a day shift, and every other weekend. Hours of work are 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training, or at least one year of experience specifically as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with Medical Assistant scope of practice.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
• Obtain one of the following within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
