About The Position

MAXhealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for its North Port clinic. The role supports patient care and clinic operations in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant greets and triages patients, prepares them for physician visits, assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments, and performs administrative and front desk tasks.

MAXhealth is a medical practice with clinics across central and southern Florida, offering primary and specialty care, telehealth, and urgent care. The position’s starting salary is $20.00 per hour, and normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet and triage patients upon arrival.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
• Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
• Perform front desk tasks and support patient care.
