About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant with strong customer service and clinical skills to support patient care at its dermatology practice in Port Orange, Florida. The practice focuses on delivering high-quality patient care and experiences in dermatology and aesthetic services. The role includes assessing patients’ skin conditions and medical histories, documenting dermatological symptoms, explaining treatments, assisting with non-intrusive medical procedures, providing preventive skin-care education, and screening patients and employees upon entry.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
• At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
• A Medical Assistant certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
• Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
• Keep records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyze information regarding patients’ skin health conditions.
• Inform patients about proper and available treatments.
• Conduct non-intrusive medical surgeries.
• Educate patients about preventive skin care.
• Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
