About The Position

SynergenX & Low T Center are leading providers of hormone replacement and targeted wellness services, and we’re looking for a compassionate, energetic, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our San Antonio team. This is an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside leaders in hormone replacement therapy, weight management, and wellness. We provide two weeks of paid training to help you learn our processes and feel confident in your role. If you have the passion to care for patients, the willingness to learn, and the drive to be part of a great team, we’ll help you build the skills to succeed.

Requirements

  • Has a physical copy of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Has at least 3 months of relevant medical experience performing phlebotomy, injections, and vitals OR documented completion of 180 externship hours.
  • Has basic computer skills and is comfortable learning new systems.
  • Is comfortable interacting with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Has a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Is dependable and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Is flexible and willing to work some extended hours and weekends.
  • Is able to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred, but certification is not required.
  • Has experience performing venipuncture and intramuscular/subcutaneous injections; highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual vital signs accurately and confidently.
  • Perform routine blood draws and venipuncture.
  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections according to provider orders and clinic protocols.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper documentation of laboratory results and quality controls.
  • Prepare and process laboratory specimens and ensure appropriate labs are ordered and ready for processing.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established laboratory procedures.
  • Complete weekly inventory, ordering, and supply management.
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team regarding inventory, laboratory needs, and patient care.
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
  • Work closely with providers and other team members to create a smooth patient experience.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate care during every patient interaction.
  • Follow all company policies, clinical procedures, and patient privacy requirements.
  • Bring a strong work ethic and willingness to jump in wherever the team needs support.
