About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) works under the direct supervision and authority of a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant and reports to the practice nurse manager. The position requires competency in patient-care skills, effective communication, maintaining examination and procedure room supplies, supporting smooth and efficient patient flow with the healthcare team, and organizing the office environment to promote patient safety.

The position is based in a Primary Care Clinician’s office and requires floating to other practices within the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Medical Group. The medical group provides services across specialties including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, orthopaedics, internal medicine, family practice, podiatry, urology, and general surgery. Practice hours vary.
