About The Position

St. Luke’s Hospital is hiring a Medical Assistant for Heart Care Specialists. The role performs clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians. The Medical Assistant supports patient care and practice operations while promoting teamwork among members of the healthcare team and carrying out duties consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications.
• Perform EKGs and other point-of-care testing and treatments.
• Triage phone calls and electronic messages.
• Perform check-out duties.
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
• Perform duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
