About The Position

The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with physicians and/or advanced practice providers in an ambulatory care setting. The role supports the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by providers and other licensed clinical personnel, and consistently performs clinical duties according to departmental policies and procedures. Care is based on the nursing process and supports the medical plan of treatment for the ambulatory setting, with an emphasis on good customer relations.

The position is based at the Dodson Medical Office Building in the Cln-Surgery-Peds department. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for 40 standard weekly hours. Employees must maintain their primary residence in Texas and maintain the licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school or current medical assistant certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Maintain a primary residence in Texas throughout employment.
• Maintain all licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance authorization experience.
• National certification.
