MEDICAL ASSISTANT SCRIBE
About The Position
The Medical Assistant Scribe works under the general direction of a physician and, when applicable, with assistance from the clinical coordinator. The role provides healthcare to individuals and families as instructed by the physician, performs routine clinical procedures as directed, participates in patient education, and enters appropriate documentation into patients’ health records. The position’s purpose is to provide healthcare services to patients under the instruction of a Physician or APPs. The role is with Methodist Medical Group (MMG), the North Texas physician organization affiliated with Methodist Health System. MMG operates more than 92 ambulatory clinics, an urgent care clinic, and a virtual care service called MethodistNOW.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience in a practice (preferred).
