About The Position

The Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) role is a full-time position within the Medical Group Infectious Disease department, located in Glenview, IL. This role involves providing administrative and patient support to a physician practice, ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent patient experience. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
• One year of work experience required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred
• Previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Provide front office support as needed
• Review and respond to patient in-basket messages
• Medication refills
