About The Position

Baptist Health Urgent Care is hiring experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs for its Hot Springs, Arkansas team. The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to promote exceptional patient care, including preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records. PRN team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or Limited License X-Ray Tech.
• Willingness to obtain an Arkansas Limited X-Ray License is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Willingness to obtain an Arkansas Limited X-Ray License.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly when they enter the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or x-ray room.
• Communicate wait times consistently and guide patients through the next step in the treatment process.
• Address patient problems and seek assistance in emergent or hazardous situations.
• Conduct follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in and check-out when necessary.
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs and weight; gather brief history, medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent information as appropriate.
• Assist with patient transfers.
• Assist with procedures under the direct supervision of a provider.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits.
