About The Position

The Medical Assistant III assists physicians and nursing staff with patient care and is responsible for chart management and patient flow. The position performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. When an electronic system is in use, the Medical Assistant III uses it according to the department and/or FPI standard operating procedures and processes, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program.
• Five or more years of supervised work experience in a medical setting.
• Medical Assistant certification, such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, or AMT.
• Demonstrated skill in venipuncture.
• Ability to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
