About The Position

The Medical Assistant II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform assigned duties that support patient care. The role includes all aspects of the Medical Assistant I position and requires full competency in the clinical needs and functions of the assigned clinic and work location. The Medical Assistant II performs duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is with Swedish Health Services DBA Swedish Medical Group, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants; or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or at least one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
Washington Medical Assistant Certification required upon hire.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire.
At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.
