About The Position
The Medical Assistant II works in the Bariatric department at Prime Healthcare Medical Group. The role assists physicians with patient care and with clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. It is also responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management, providing patients with information so they can fully use and benefit from clinic services, and conveying a positive image of the organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
- At least one year of work experience in a public-contact job.
- Current phlebotomy certification or demonstrated competency.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in health care is preferred.
