Medical Assistant I, Primary Care at West Grove
About The Position
ChristianaCare Primary Care in West Grove, Pennsylvania, is seeking a professional, compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and technical and clinical skills. The practice provides primary medical care for adults and children and includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, and office assistants. The Medical Assistant I supports physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing clinical and clerical duties to help ensure quality care. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift, with no weekends or holidays.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program, or hold current Medical Assistant Certification from a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Responsibilities
- Greet and support patients virtually and in person.
- Prepare patients for visits.
- Perform basic clinical tasks, including testing, injections, and EKGs.
- Assist with examinations.
- Maintain examination rooms and equipment.
- Update the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Manage patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
- Handle clerical duties.
- Troubleshoot video visits.
- Support patient portal access.
