About The Position

ORA Orthopedics is seeking a versatile and dedicated Medical Assistant Float to provide patient care and clinical support across its clinic locations. The role includes assisting patients and providers, supporting procedures, completing administrative tasks, and maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and requires travel to various ORA clinic locations. Staff are expected to provide high-level care, maintain patient confidentiality, and comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.
• Ability to travel to various ORA clinic locations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical assisting experience.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain initial information and vital signs, and prepare patients for the provider.
• Order tests and X-rays.
• Assist with minor procedures, including suture removal and dressing changes.
• Draw up injections.
• Accurately enter data into medical systems.
• Educate patients and caregivers on specific care instructions.
• Keep exam rooms clean and well-stocked.
• Support medical professionals with patient management, procedures, and administrative tasks.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Travel to various ORA clinic locations.
