About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports daily operations in an outpatient physician practice, assisting physicians and clinical staff with patient flow and care delivery. The role includes direct patient care and intake, preparing patients and procedure documentation, collecting specimens, communicating results and care plans under provider direction, and maintaining clinical rooms and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient or physician practice setting.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Excellent patient communication skills.
• Strong clinical intake, phlebotomy, and specimen-handling skills.
• High attention to detail with consent documentation.
• Strong teamwork skills in fast-paced clinic environments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous travel or multi-facility clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, record routine vital signs, obtain medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations and minor office procedures.
• Collect informed consent documentation and assemble complete surgical or procedure packets.
• Assist physicians during in-office procedures and collect specimens.
• Administer ordered injections and medications under the direct supervision of the attending physician and follow safety protocols.
• Notify patients of diagnostic test results and relay recommended treatment plans as directed by clinic providers.
• Maintain clean, sanitized, and stocked examination rooms; prepare clinical equipment and support efficient daily office operations.
