About The Position

Central Florida Pain Relief Center is hiring a Medical Assistant/EMT for its interventional pain management team. The role supports providers with clinical tasks, documentation, and patient communication, including assisting with exams, managing care flow, and supporting a patient-centered practice. The position is suitable for recent graduates and gap-year students seeking clinical experience, including those preparing for pre-PA, pre-med, or nursing careers. Some travel is required. The posting lists a PRN schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provider documentation and charting during patient visits, including managing a high volume of data entry.
• Take vital signs, update patient medical histories, and perform patient intake.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and stocked.
• Assist during exams and procedures as directed by providers.
• Communicate with patients about upcoming procedures, instructions, and follow-ups.
• Manage communication with pharmacies.
• Coordinate patient care through phone calls, faxes, and secure messaging.
• Track and follow up on medical clearances, referrals, and lab results.
• Support front- and back-office tasks as needed for team coverage.
• Enter clinical documentation accurately and promptly in EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professionalism.
