About The Position

Central Florida Pain Relief Center is hiring a Medical Assistant/EMT to support its interventional pain management team. The role supports providers with clinical tasks, documentation, and patient communication; assists with examinations; helps manage care flow; and contributes to a patient-centered practice. It is suited to motivated, detail-oriented candidates eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-touch medical setting, including recent graduates and gap-year students preparing for healthcare careers. Some travel is required. The schedule is PRN, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provider documentation and charting during patient visits, including managing a high volume of data entry.
• Take vital signs, update patient medical histories, and perform patient intake.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment is clean and stocked.
• Assist during examinations and procedures as directed by providers.
• Communicate with patients about upcoming procedures, instructions, and follow-ups.
• Manage communication with pharmacies.
• Coordinate patient care through phone calls, faxes, and secure messaging.
• Track and follow up on medical clearances, referrals, and lab results.
• Support front- and back-office tasks as needed for team coverage.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of clinical documentation in EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professionalism.
