About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time (34 hours per week) Credentialed Medical Assistant at our Broadway Medical Pediatrics Clinic in Northeast Portland. This role is crucial in providing patients with the highest value care tailored to their needs, working collaboratively with a team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians. You will contribute to our mission of delivering world-class care with kindness and empathy, making a valuable impact within the local community. Your primary duties involve assisting medical staff, collecting patient information, preparing patients for examination, assisting with procedures, performing related tests, scheduling appointments, maintaining a clean and safe environment, utilizing EMR for prescriptions and test results, updating records, and potentially being cross-trained in other clinic duties. The Oregon Clinic is a large, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical and surgical practice dedicated to providing high-value care and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
  • Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric healthcare experience is a plus!
  • New Grads welcome to apply.
  • ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • EPIC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Assisting with procedures and performing related tests/monitoring.
  • Scheduling appointments for new and established patients as needed.
  • Maintaining a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment.
  • Utilizing EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results, and patient files.
  • Updating records as needed.
  • Cross-training in multiple areas and/or assigned additional clinic duties.
  • Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
