About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Credentialed or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant in our Orthopedics East Clinic in Northeast Portland. You will work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians, delivering world-class care with kindness and empathy. Your role is crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest-value care tailored to their needs by providing excellent customer service and communication skills. You will assist medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients, preparing them for examination, assisting with procedures, performing specialty-related tests/monitoring, scheduling appointments, updating records, and contributing to the overall delivery of patient care in the department. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and prioritize tasks
• Excellent attendance and work ethic
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Specialty Care Orthopedics is a plus!
• Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is preferred
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred
• Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities
