About The Position

NBCU Local is seeking a Manager, Media Operations to support the NBC4 and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles Media Operations Center and Control Rooms. The role provides day-to-day oversight and management of the Media Operations team, supporting NBCU Local News field, editorial, and production teams. The position reports to the Director, Operations. The manager leads media support for content production, ensures appropriate processes and staffing to meet team objectives and service-level agreements, and oversees hiring, scheduling, performance management, coaching, and employee development in accordance with station policies and collective bargaining agreements. The role also develops stakeholder relationships, contributes to new workflows and initiatives, coordinates with vendors and internal service providers, and ensures compliance with NBCUniversal cybersecurity policies and standards. This is a full-time, on-site position at an NBCUniversal-designated worksite in Universal City. The manager must be available around the clock for major on-air events, breaking news, severe weather, and system integrations or updates, including work outside standard hours and on weekends with short notice; travel may also be required. The salary range is $125,000–$155,000 and the position is bonus eligible.

Requirements

At least 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience involving people management, project leadership, or indirect leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in radio, television and film, journalism, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience leading operational functions for mid- to major-market news or live-event production operations.
Experience with media asset management systems and methodologies.
Must be willing to work in Universal City.
Must be available for major on-air events, breaking news, severe weather, and new system integrations and updates, and be available 24-7, including willingness to travel and work outside standard hours and on weekends with short notice.
Valid driver’s license.
Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
Must be covered by NBCU’s Solutions Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
Must work full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Responsibilities

Lead the Media Operations team responsible for delivering media support for content production.
