About The Position

Telemundo62 is seeking a dynamic, creative, digitally focused Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) / Reporter to deliver original, impactful journalism across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms. The journalist independently develops, shoots, writes, edits, and delivers compelling stories, pursues enterprise reporting, and builds trusted sources to produce meaningful journalism for diverse communities. The role covers Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Delaware and includes live and breaking-news reporting, digital-first content, and participation in approved community events, station initiatives, and special projects.

Requirements

• At least two years of professional reporting or multimedia journalism experience; television news experience is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Spanish-language storytelling, on-air presentation, and live-reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in videography, nonlinear editing, and digital content production.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Willingness to work in Philadelphia and travel throughout the tri-state viewing area.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pitch, develop, and execute original, relevant, and impactful stories across Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Delaware.
• Independently research, shoot, write, edit, and deliver news content for all platforms.
• Pursue enterprise reporting, exclusive stories, investigative opportunities, and meaningful follow-ups.
• Deliver accurate, engaging live reports, including breaking-news coverage.
• Produce clear, visually compelling stories that explain why they matter, who is affected, and what viewers need to know.
• Develop and maintain strong community relationships and a diverse network of sources.
• Create timely, platform-specific content and engage with audiences using a digital-first approach.
• Communicate story developments, challenges, and opportunities proactively with producers, the assignment desk, and newsroom leadership.
• Collaborate effectively, meet deadlines, and take ownership of assignments from pitch through publication.
• Uphold high standards of journalistic integrity, accuracy, fairness, and production quality.
• Participate in approved community events, station initiatives, and special projects as assigned.
