Requirements

  • Sales experience preferred; a background or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to learn and master digital advertising products and tools
  • Strong relationship-building, follow-up, and customer service skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and positively influence others in a fast-paced environment
  • High achiever with creativity, persistence, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to think critically and design solutions for complex client challenges
  • Coachable mindset — open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
  • Comfortable selling to, challenging, and building trust-based relationships with executives
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record; MVR check required
  • Must have reliable transportation that meets required insurance coverage needs

Responsibilities

  • Prospect & Develop New Business — Research opportunities in your market, generate and follow through on sales leads (both warm and cold), and maintain an active pipeline of potential revenue. The majority of your time will be focused on developing new local direct business.
  • Own the Full Sales Cycle — From prospect to close, manage new business revenue and budget goals with consistency and accountability.
  • Consult & Strategize — Meet with business owners, marketing executives, and advertising managers to conduct needs assessments and develop targeted digital and broadcast marketing solutions tailored to their goals and budgets.
  • Build & Present Proposals — Design, write, and present compelling marketing proposals and PowerPoint presentations that align with client business objectives.
  • Manage Your Book of Business — Utilize CRM and client management tools to maintain detailed account records, track interactions, forecast accurately, and grow existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally — Partner with creative, strategy, analytics, and support teams across all departments to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction.
  • Stay Current — Keep up with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to position yourself and Gray Media as trusted advisors in the marketplace.
