About The Position

Clever Advertising is seeking a Media Buyer to join their team, focusing on the Malaysian market. This role is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing high-value advertising opportunities to drive revenue and brand visibility. The Media Buyer will contribute to maximizing campaign ROI through strategic media placements and fostering strong relationships with publishers and platforms. The position can be remote or based in their new office in Gzira, Malta.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, media buying, or business development, preferably within the digital advertising industry.
  • Track record of negotiating deals and managing partnerships.
  • Previous experience working with the Malaysian market within Forex, affiliate marketing, digital advertising, or performance-driven environments is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Programmatic Buying) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with productivity and CRM tools to manage outreach and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising channels, formats, and pricing models (CPM, CPC, CPA).
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities; fluency in English (other languages are highly valued).
  • Strong commercial sense and business acumen.
  • Confidence, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Proactive and adaptable with a can-do attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Programmatic Buying) is a plus.
  • Other languages are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify advertising opportunities across online channels (websites, apps, and other digital platforms).
  • Negotiate optimal rates, formats, and placements to maximize campaign impact and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with media owners and partners.
  • Build and manage a pool of media partners to expand business opportunities.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance to optimize future placements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Media Controllers, Compliance) to optimize advertising strategies.
  • Stay updated on digital advertising trends, formats, and new market opportunities.
  • Promote Clever Advertising’s value proposition effectively to potential partners.
  • Ensure process compliance and maintain documentation and CRM tool updated.
