About The Position

Sweat Pants Agency is hiring a remote Media Buyer / Creative Strategist to own a handful of DTC and eCommerce paid-media accounts end to end. The role combines media buying, account management, creative strategy, client communication, and conversion-rate optimization. The person in this role manages up to six accounts, serves as each client’s direct point of contact, presents results and plans, and takes responsibility for account performance. Client calls must be available during US Eastern business hours; the rest of the workday is flexible, and the person may live anywhere. The strategist conducts customer and competitor research, develops creative angles, writes briefs and scripts, and directs editors and designers through revisions. They launch roughly 8 to 10 new ads per week in informed batches and manage Meta budgets ranging from $30,000 to $1 million per month. When conversion rate is a bottleneck, they build and test landing pages such as advertorials, comparison pages, and product detail pages using Claude Code, deploying them to Vercel and testing them on a subdomain before changes reach a client’s Shopify theme. The role diagnoses and addresses bottlenecks across creative, offer, average order value, landing pages, and checkout. Performance is evaluated using new-customer acquisition economics, including NC-CPA and NC-ROAS. The agency uses AI in its daily work, including an internal creative analysis tool connected to Claude and Pipeboard for ad-account analysis. Candidates should already use AI as a practical work tool and be able to research, write, and build a converting landing page. The position is suited to someone who wants ownership and responsibility rather than a narrowly defined lane or ticket-based workflow.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience running Meta advertising at meaningful spend for DTC or eCommerce brands, with results that can be explained using CPA, ROAS, revenue, and the actions taken.
  • Existing practical use of Claude or an equivalent AI tool in work; AI use is a requirement.
  • Ability to build and ship a landing page using AI tools, including researching, writing, and building a converting page from scratch.
  • Native or near-native English ability to write persuasive direct-response hooks, scripts, ad copy, and advertorials in customers’ own language.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain reasoning, advocate for ideas, push back constructively, and raise problems early.
  • Good creative judgment and ability to direct creative work without passing off low-quality AI-generated material.
  • Availability to take client calls during US Eastern business hours.
  • Ability to take ownership of account outcomes and work independently without relying on detailed instructions or a ticketing system.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or operating a Shopify store or eCommerce brand.

Responsibilities

  • Own 4 to 6 DTC and eCommerce accounts as strategist, media buyer, creative lead, and direct client contact.
  • Manage client relationships, present results and plans, explain decisions, and address performance concerns directly with clients.
  • Conduct customer research using reviews, ad comments, support tickets, and Reddit to identify customer language, objections, and creative angles.
  • Research competitor advertising and use internal tools to analyze account ads and their performance.
  • Write creative briefs, scripts, and direct-response ad copy; direct editors and designers and oversee revision rounds.
  • Launch approximately 8 to 10 new ads per week in planned batches.
  • Build and test advertorials, comparison pages, and product detail pages using Claude Code and Vercel, initially testing them on a subdomain.
  • Diagnose and address performance bottlenecks across creative, offer, average order value, landing pages, and checkout.
  • Optimize and report on new-customer economics using NC-CPA and NC-ROAS, and articulate and defend attribution decisions.
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day work and learn unfamiliar tools and skills independently.
