About The Position

We are seeking a part-time Med Tech to join our team at The Grand at Spokane in Spokane, WA. The open shifts may include nights and weekends depending on staffing needs. Requirements

• Must have a current HCA or NAC certification and maintain CEUs as required by the state
• Must have a current Washington Food Worker Card and current certification in CPR and First Aid, or be willing to get certified within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a senior living or care setting preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, as well as independently
• A can-do attitude and a genuine compassion for working with the senior population

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living and other services to residents in accordance with their service plan, the Stellar way: with kindness, in a gentle, friendly, and professional manner, and with respect for residents' dignity and privacy.
• Pass medications per the care plan requirements
• Provide high-quality resident care and support with activities of daily living in accordance with each resident's service plan
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing, and mobility in a kind and dignified manner
• Answer resident calls promptly and determine how best to assist them
• Ensure residents receive the appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences
• Observe and respond to changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, or needs and report them to the appropriate team member
• Chart notes accurately and timely for each resident, documenting care provided and needs identified
• Communicate effectively with residents experiencing communication barriers
