About The Position

Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a part-time Medication Aide/Med Tech to help ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role is important to preventing medication errors, identifying changes in residents’ health, and protecting resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory compliance. The position pays $19.65–$24.65 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Senior care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document accurately and in real time in the MAR/TAR.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Promptly report medication refusals or concerns.
• Complete narcotic counts according to policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
