About The Position

The Fountains of Cartersville is seeking Certified Medication Technicians to administer medications and provide resident care oversight in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. This is a part-time, first-shift role (7 a.m.–3 p.m.) requiring availability to work every weekend only. Candidates must hold a CMA certification and meet the listed training and care-certification requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course.
• CMA certification.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing certification.
• Ability to communicate adequately in writing and orally, including effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to oneself or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
• Availability to work every weekend only.

Responsibilities

• Build positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
• Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations.
• Remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
• Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with community policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which prior training has been received.
• Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations.
