About The Position

The Fountains of Cartersville is seeking Certified Medication Technicians to administer medications and oversee resident care in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. This is a part-time, first-shift opportunity, working 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every weekend only. A CMA certification is required. The community has partnered with Tapcheck, a mobile app that lets team members access earned wages instantly.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course.
Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing certification required.
Ability to communicate adequately in writing and orally, including in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to oneself or others.
Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
Must have CMA certification.
Must be available to work every weekend.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations.
Remain calm under stressful conditions.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
Report changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Complete work schedules and assigned tasks according to community policies and procedures.
Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which prior training has been received.
Use infection-control precautions and practices in all activities.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations.
