About The Position

The Ridge Senior Living is seeking an experienced Med Tech to assist residents with daily medications, treatments, and resident care within the scope of practice and applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. The role involves administering and documenting medications, maintaining confidential resident records, keeping medication carts and rooms clean, orderly, stocked, and locked, and assisting care partners as needed. The position is suited to a caring, dedicated, detail-oriented, and honest person who enjoys working with seniors.

Requirements

• Must possess a current and active Utah CNA Certificate.
• Ability to understand and conceptualize concepts and make decisions in stressful situations.
• High initiative and self-motivation, with attention to establishing and understanding processes and to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with seniors, family members, and staff in a caring, compassionate manner.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Med Tech role is preferred.
• One year of experience providing residential care to the elderly or similar experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed.
• Document instances when prescribed medication is not administered, including reasons for refusal, and notify the supervisor and/or Executive Director.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records according to established procedures and state law.
• Keep medication carts and areas orderly, clean, appropriately stocked, and locked.
• Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of medication carts and medication rooms.
• Assist care partners with their work and assume care partner activities when needed or requested.
