About The Position

The Mechanical/Thermal Hardware Engineer designs, analyzes, develops, modifies, and evaluates mechanical and thermal systems, materials, equipment, and packaging. The role contributes to engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling, applying established engineering principles and development practices. It also supports feasibility, design-margin, validation, and reliability analysis, along with empirical testing of new and modified designs. The engineer develops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances and form, fit, and function; shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety and reliability; fan curves; system power measurements; and acoustics. The position collaborates with internal and outsourced development partners and participates on project teams developing reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low- to moderately-complex products. The role works independently within an established framework, with moderate supervision.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Typically 2–4 years of experience.
  • Experience using ProEngineer, Solidworks, or other 3D CAD software as a mechanical design tool.
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design sheet metal and plastic parts and associated production tooling and processes.
  • Ability to use CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and the local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.

Responsibilities

  • Design portions of mechanical and thermal engineering solutions, electronics enclosures, and production tooling according to established engineering principles and development practices.
  • Develop and implement parameters and test plans for existing designs.
  • Validate tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, and reliability.
  • Develop fan curves and conduct system power measurements and acoustic testing.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical and thermal design and development.
  • Participate on project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low- to moderately-complex products.
  • Contribute to feasibility, design-margin, validation, and reliability analysis and empirical testing.

Benefits
