About The Position

The Facilities Division is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Operations Technician I that performs duties in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems. Installs, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems, and associated equipment.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems.
• Inspect and check the working performance of equipment according to specifications.
• Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing and sewage operations.
• Performs work in grounds maintenance functions of cutting grass, trimming, operates power blowers and trimmers. Remove snow with mobile equipment. Performs janitorial duties including cleaning restrooms, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, emptying trash and other miscellaneous janitorial duties.
• Maintain parts, supplies and equipment to maintain established maintenance operations.
• Prepare and maintain records of all work and maintenance activities.
