About The Position

The Facilities Division is hiring a Security Specialist that provides Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) security measures for facilities and grounds within jurisdiction of the Department of Military Affairs.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Must be twenty-one years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in law enforcement, security, the military or a related field will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides DTRA security measures for facilities and grounds within jurisdiction of the DMA.
• Provides DTRA security measures to include but not limited to controlling entry and exit of military and civilian personnel, vehicles and other equipment at various entry control points, stands guard and patrols to ensure buildings and grounds are properly secure, conducts person and vehicle searches, secures crime and incident scenes and participates in response to intrusions or attacks as a member of emergency response force.
• Operates vehicles, communication equipment, intrusion detection devices, weapons and other special purpose security equipment; ensures the operating condition and maintenance of all assigned equipment.
• Responsible for attending and completing all annual training provided by state and federal government.
