About The Position

The Facilities Division is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Consultant that serves as a project manager for mechanical maintenance and operations and consults with management and recommends improvements concerning operations, facilitates installations, inspections, and repairs of mechanical equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Five years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the required experience on a year- for-year basis.
• Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and manages the Maintenance and Operations of the Mechanical Section, including HVAC, Plumbing, Carpenter, and Electrical sections.
• Contracts work that needs to be performed by outside vendors, including following procurement procedures.
• Inspects and checks the work of employees performing mechanical maintenance in the HVAC, Plumbing, Carpenter, and Electrical Sections.
• Inspects the work contracted by outside vendors.
• Manages special installations, inspections or repairs of mechanical equipment.
• Recommends improvements in maintenance and operating techniques.
• Performs inventories and maintains property control records.
