About The Position

The Mechanical Integrator III is a senior technical role responsible for leading large-scale or high-risk integration projects across TAIT’s markets. This role contributes throughout the full project lifecycle - from early coordination and shop testing to on-site installation, troubleshooting, and final client delivery. Integrators at this level operate with minimal supervision, oversee multiple systems and disciplines, and act as technical leads for complex scopes. They are expected to mentor junior and mid-level team members, contribute to estimating and planning, and represent integration in client-facing and cross-functional settings. Mechanical Integrator III combines deep mechanical expertise with leadership maturity. The role includes shaping integration standards, supporting documentation and process development, and building strong relationships across departments and with clients. An integrator exists on the uniquely TAIT line between technology and are - bringing creative visions to life through precision, collaboration, and technical execution.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • 7–10+ years in a mechanical or technical role
  • Proven experience leading integration scopes and mentoring others
  • Strong understanding of TAIT products, processes, and integration standards
  • Advanced fabrication and troubleshooting skills, including cutting, grinding, aligning, and welding
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Experience with rigging, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in live entertainment environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 99–120 days/year, both domestically and internationally depending on project requirements
  • Comfortable working in varied entertainment environments (e.g., shops, backstage, catwalks, cruise ships)
  • Right to work in the US or UK

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical integration on large-scale or high-risk projects
  • Oversee multiple systems and disciplines to ensure cohesive delivery
  • Conduct thorough shop testing and setup of complex mechanical systems
  • Act as technical lead and client-facing representative
  • Develop and refine integration plans and estimates
  • Mentor and train other integrators across levels
  • Collaborate with internal teams on post-project activities, including maintenance and support
  • Create and maintain technical and inspection documentation
  • Promote and contribute to internal standards and process improvements
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and contribute to team learning materials
  • Represent integration in strategic meetings and cross-departmental planning
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project managers, and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all phases of work
  • Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with TAIT’s standards
  • Stay current with tools, technologies, and integration techniques
  • Exposure to projects in both Portable (Live/Brand Experience) and Fixed (Placemaking/LBE) markets
