About The Position

Join us and make your mark – where excellence meets purpose, and great minds truly matter. Support the design effort for internal, high technology projects working with Engineers and Scientists. Generate complex designs such as magnets, structures, testing equipment, mechanisms, machine components, vacuum equipment, electromechanical devices, piping systems, and cryostats.

Requirements

• 9 or more years of relevant experience
• Experience producing orthographic mechanical and fabrication drawings.
• High School Diploma
• Advanced knowledge of design and drafting techniques with Siemens NX CAD software to create complex models and drawings of components and assemblies.
• Ability to identify problems of moderate complexity.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to check the work of other designers and be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Performs work with minimal supervision and be able to supervise other designers.

Nice To Haves

• Works in a group environment and occasionally independently, to produce models and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan work assignments and maintain schedule.
• Produce accurate 3D CAD models for complex systems and components using Siemen's NX and Teamcenter PDM as well as clear-to-read piece part drawings, manufacturing drawings, and P&IDs.
• Turn concepts and ideas into working assemblies and systems with independent thinking.
• Present design reviews.
