About The Position

Fleetway is looking for Mechanical Designers to join our team! In this role, you will be a key contributor to our marine design and integration projects, focusing on advanced mechanical system modelling for naval and commercial vessels. We are primarily seeking Intermediate and Senior technologists who bring strong technical depth, sound judgement, and experience working across disciplines. We also welcome early‑career candidates with hands‑on proficiency in ShipConstructor and a solid understanding of marine systems. In this role, you will use ShipConstructor daily to develop and interpret detailed 3D models of piping and HVAC systems, verify model accuracy, and help identify and resolve integration issues. You’ll review legacy vessel documentation and incorporate approved engineering changes to maintain accurate project records. Working closely with structural, outfitting, and electrical teams—and using tools such as Navisworks for coordination—you’ll support the seamless integration of mechanical systems throughout the vessel design process. This position is ideal for technologists who excel in collaborative environments and are motivated by contributing to the development and sustainment of complex marine platforms. If you’re passionate about meaningful design work and want to make a difference in Canada’s marine defense sector, we’d love to hear from you!
