About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the engineering team for Fluid Components International product lines by creating accurate SolidWorks 3D models and assemblies from existing engineering drawings and developing models for new parts and fixtures. The internship is intended for a student pursuing Mechanical Engineering who wants hands-on experience with drafting standards, technical drawings, and product development. The intern will work closely with engineers to ensure models follow company modeling standards, file structure protocols, and documentation requirements. The role is based on-site in San Marcos, California, for the Summer 2027 session. The full-time internship runs from May through August 2027. Work takes place in a second-floor office, with occasional time on the shop floor and in the stockroom to inspect and measure parts and assemblies. No travel is required.
