About The Position

Magellan Aerospace, New York is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to work with experienced engineers on projects and initiatives focused on improving efficiency, quality, and innovation in manufacturing processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA V5, and Siemens NX for mechanical design, drafting, and NC programming.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude toward new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including inspections, testing, and documentation, to help ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Collect and analyze experiment and test data, and help prepare reports summarizing findings and recommending actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to support project objectives and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
