Responsibilities

  • Execute technical tasks and recommend solutions to complex problems involving design, manufacture, integration, and production sustainment of mechanical subsystems in engineering labs, factories, and at suppliers.
  • Communicate with cross-disciplinary engineering team members and suppliers to analyze, model, and document the design technical data package and its capabilities and compliance with requirements.
  • Work autonomously with limited supervision as responsible engineer for designated hardware; lead individual tasks and collaborate with supply chain, operations, quality, systems, analysis, and electrical functions.
  • Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, subassemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.
  • Collaborate with Raytheon factories and suppliers on new product integration and manufacturing process improvements.
