About The Position

Peter Basso Associates, Inc. is seeking Mechanical Engineering Co-ops for their Winter 2027 term in Troy, Michigan. This co-op program is designed to provide college students with hands-on experience in engineering design for building systems. Co-ops will assist engineers and designers with design projects, utilizing software like AutoCAD and Revit. Responsibilities may include preparing calculations for building systems and accompanying engineers on site visits for field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
An interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design.
2.7 GPA or higher.
Enrolled in an accredited four-year college.
Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering fundamentals.

Nice To Haves

AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and designers with design projects.
Use AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
Work on building design and/or renovation projects.
Prepare calculations for a variety of building systems.
Accompany engineers on project site visits to assist in preparing field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems.
