Mechanical Engineering Co-op - Summer 2027 Term
About The Position
Peter Basso Associates, Inc. is seeking Mechanical Engineering Co-ops for the Summer 2027 term to join our team in Troy, Michigan. This co-op program is designed to provide college students with a hands-on learning experience and an accurate view into the field of engineering design for building systems. As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op, you will assist engineers and designers with design projects, utilizing software such as AutoCAD and Revit. You will work on building design and/or renovation projects, prepare calculations for various building systems, and accompany engineers on project site visits for field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems. Our collaborative design process focuses on optimizing performance and minimizing cost through a thorough evaluation of system options.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- An interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design.
- 2.7 GPA or higher.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college, pursuing an undergraduate degree in the mechanical engineering field.
- Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering fundamentals.
Nice To Haves
- AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and designers with design projects.
