About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering graduates to join their Nashville, TN office's Natural Gas team. This role involves utilizing technical software for analysis, production, and quality control of client deliverables. The position requires solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines to realize client visions. Successful candidates will develop familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices, procedures, and standards. General mechanical engineering tasks will be performed to support various project managers. The Mechanical teams engage in a wide array of projects including Transmission & Distribution Pipeline Design, Metering and Regulation Stations, Remote Valve Sites, Regulatory Compliance, Natural Gas Generation & power plant design, and Process Control Design and Integration.

Requirements

  • An ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required
