Mechanical Engineering Analyst
About The Position
Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering graduates to join their MEP team in the Chicago, Illinois office. This role involves utilizing technical software for analysis, production, and quality control of client deliverables. The position requires problem-solving, collaboration with project managers and other disciplines, and adherence to various regulations and standards. Mechanical teams work on diverse projects including building MEP, HVAC, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls for clients such as Airports, Facilities, and Universities.
Requirements
- ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
- Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required
