About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering graduates to join our St. Petersburg, Florida (FL) office's MEP team. This role involves utilizing technical software for analysis and deliverable production, solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines. The position requires developing familiarity with relevant regulations and company standards. Mechanical teams work on diverse projects including building MEP, HVAC, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls for clients in sectors like Airports, Facilities, and Universities.

Requirements

  • An ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required
