About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer I will work in RTX’s Precision Control and Actuation Systems (PCAS) department, a group of nearly 150 engineers collaborating with internal and external customers and programs. The department develops solutions for controlling product motion and integrating harnesses and interconnects for ground-, sea-, and air-launched vehicles. Its systems include control algorithms and firmware, electronic control units, actuators with high-power motors and precision gear trains, electronic harnessing, and components that interface with vehicles and package control assemblies. This role contributes to PCAS projects involving mechanical/control systems and/or harnesses and interconnects. The engineer applies engineering practices and problem-solving to mechanical design and development, collaborating with teammates and experts to develop approaches and solutions. The position is onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, and requires U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable U.S. government security clearance before starting; the posting also states that the ability to obtain an interim clearance is required before the start date.
