About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer II will perform mechanical design and development activities within the Precision Control and Actuation Systems department. The department’s nearly 150 engineers collaborate with internal and external customers and programs to develop solutions for controlling product motion and integrating harnessing and interconnects across ground-, sea-, and air-launched vehicles. Its systems include control algorithms and firmware, electronic control units, actuators with high-power motors and precision gear trains, electronic harnessing, and components that interface with vehicles and package control assemblies. The role calls for a systems-oriented approach in a highly cross-functional environment. The engineer will contribute engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills, collaborate with a team, receive input from program and team experts, and work on projects by determining and developing approaches and solutions.
