About The Position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions that support our aerospace products and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mechanical components and assemblies that meet performance, reliability, and quality standards. You will report directly to our Sr. Mechanical Design Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Lansdale, PA location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies by applying your mechanical design skills to create components that enhance the safety, efficiency, and functionality of aircraft systems.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in aerospace or related industries
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo for 3D modeling and drafting
  • Familiarity with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to support design validation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is a plus
  • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace mechanical design
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to aerospace applications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies from concept through production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure design compliance with specifications
  • Support mechanical analysis and testing activities to validate design performance and reliability
